Hi all,

A big thanks to Gunblade for his assistance so far with my first chassis repair.

The monitor worked for about a week or two after I got the machine, but conked out after that, it was sold as non working so can't complain.

I have given the chassis and neck board a full recap, reflowed a load of old old solder joints and a new flyback. I got power to the monitor and can use it again, however the red colour is the only problem.

I thought maybe it was the red gain or cutoff pot that was faulty. I swapped those around with a working colour (blue), but didn't make any difference. I have replaced the colour transistors on the neck board as well - green was faint and the replacement fixed it. I replaced the red, but again didn't make any difference. I've tried different variants of contrast etc.

I've used 3 different jamma boards with colour bars in test, they all give a similar result with the red.

Any suggestions welcome - please see pics.

Hi, i’m not familiar with the test pattern you’re using but I see red, green and white (hence blue is present too), do you have a picture of what this test pattern is supposed to look like?
