Hello all,don't exactly know how I came across this board but looks pretty good.I'm a massive arcade fan and own a Electrocoin Goliath MK III MAME conversion.

Hi OldSkoolFool. As I understand it, ukvac started first and originally as a mailing list. It transformed into a parallel list & forum and then only in the past month or so was the mailing list finally shut down, even though it had been almost silent for some time.

I'm sure you'll find a pretty large amount of cross-pollination between the various arcade related sites/forums/lists as various sites have their strengths and weaknesses. And not forgetting the key fact - to buy more crap you have to know of as many trading locations as possible

So what sort of games are you into OldSkoolFool and have you any plans to (gulp!) start collecting dedicated cabs? They do take up a crap-load of room, but I'm off into the garage in a minute to have a half hour on my Star Wars cockpit and IMO you just can't beat that

Into pretty much anything post 1988 (ish) First game i ever played arcade wise was Pac-Land circa 1988 so always have fond memories of that,but I have a varied taste i.e shooters,fighters etc so anything 2d I suppose.

Yeah one day I fancy a fleet of dedicated but space pretty much hinders that at the minute,I have a Goliath that i got of a fellow board member on here,but got carried away and mamed it,was a good idea in terms of the amount of games I could run,but It just don't seem to feel as authentic as I had liked it to be : ( It's been the vain of my life to be honest in terms of how much money I have pumped into it buying various adaptors etc,but all the same it's nice having one in the house even though the missus is not too keen...lol Nether the less it was always a child hood dream to own one.
