I need some help to get my sound blaster set up again .
Restoring a Controll panel and
Adding it
To my cocktail cab.
For some yoko / hori games.
What I have done is wire the panel to a jamma passthrpugh
Then in the 486 mame cocktail
To a Jpac
No issues …
Except I was tired and plugged the pc in to the keyboard socket on the Jpac and visa versa keyboard into pc ….
So naturally 486 said no
I don’t see any keyboard any more !
And like a wally I didn’t realize what I had done and plugged my keyboard into the second port of the 486 …. At which point it did now see a keyboard but it no longer sees my SB16 as a result .😡🤨.
Só I need to re do my config.sys. &. Autoexe.bat
Hexen helped me before I have asked him just waiting for reply …
We renamed as far as my mental capacity can compute- Config.sys to c.sys
&
Autoexe.bat To a.bat
Then re wrote both the original
Config.sys & Autoexe.bat .
As far as I remeber🧐
It’s a bit of a stretch for me to do this correctly on my own 🙂
Any help would be cool
I have ran install for sb16
And ctcm/ctcm \s. To get my cards values .
But re naming and re writing files is out of my reach as I didn’t write down what it should be ..
or at least can’t find it !
Games all run fine just sound blaster not configured.
Any help to get my game sound back massively appreciate . Can donate a fee to charity or beer tokens 😉
Ultimately it’s for Atari games +defender &
Stargate panel I’m adding.
