How long do you play for? (Post GTAV realisation...)

I recently got MAN EATER on ps5 and I’ve been addicted last few days!! (Bought it for my shark loving daughter but fallen in love with it) - didn’t expect this level of love for it lol 😂 I personally enjoy stuff I can switch on, play and turn off!
GTA 5 I bought but I find it overwhelming to the point of no fun at all! Just too much to learn to enjoy. I prob need to keep trying but I’m not finding it fun. I must be only person on planet who doesn’t enjoy it. Ironically I used to LOVE the original top view version GTA 1 on ps1 🤷‍♂️ because it was FUN.

Nope. I got stuck on GTAV when I had to shoot some killer clowns or something. Resorted to just going to the strip club or getting stoned and watching the anime channel 🤣

I finished GTA4 after having take some time off work for an operation.
I then waited years in anticipation of GTA 5 on PC. But then didn't buy it until 2021 and haven't played it for more than half an hour as I just don't have the time anymore, with kids . It's the same with my arcade games. One day they'll get the time they deserve. I think I'd also rather spend what little free time I have tinkering with electronics projects (arcade related usually) than playing games.

But, on the other hand, games that aren't 18-rated, the kids like, and we can play on the TV in the living room, I've spent huge amounts of time on, in the name of childcare. We've finished quite a few - Pikmin3 many times, Teardown, The Stretchers, Moving Out, Mario Kart 8, 100's of hours on Forza Horizon 4/5 (mostly The Eliminator). So if the kids can have a turn or do multiplayer, then it's a totally different story . They've chuff-all interest in old arcade games though :(

I've not played a 'modern' game since 'The Last of Us' on my PS3. The hard drive corrupted after many hours of play so my save point was messed up. Gave up on it and gave up on consoles apart from my Switch.
I remember sinking 100's of hours into Unreal Tourney 2004 online as at the time the game play was quite stunning. different game types and weaponry made the game a lot of fun. There was a decent UT2004 community as well.
That's just 2 games and I dread to think how many thousands of hours I've sunk into playing Footy Manager, Total War ( insert title here) , GTA Vice City, Diablo, Starcraft etc etc etc...
