recently I noticed issue with posting

I leave my browser open and I have the forum on a open tab, say I come back to my pc a hour later and refresh I can see all the new posts

now if I open a post and try and reply to it (I am still logged in on the site) I get a error saying:

Error
Only members with sufficient permission can access this page.

if I then close my browser and reopen it go back to the same post I can then reply

the thing is after I type out a long post and click reply I lose the post and have to retype it all out again

this is the only forum this happens on so I don't think its a browser issue as it also happens in i.e and firefox

any ideas?

I think it's a time thing, if it stays on the same page without doing stuff for too long it has a wee twitch to itself

i refresh the main page then open a new post so its a new page i open, then i get the error so it not like i am sitting on the same page for it to time out

Hi math,

Are you using fixed broadband or 3G? This is basically the same problem that's seen when using the app over some 3G providers. Webwiz does some AJAXy shenanigans in the reply page and some (mostly unknown) variables cause it to crap out.

Do you have a proxy server/VPN/browser extension like MediaNow installed?

Weird. We've not changed anything on this end for considerably longer than that. I'll see what troubleshooting steps I can come up with and I'll get back to you dude.

Just to say this happens to me a fair amount of times, usually on the w7 laptop at home with firefox.

Safari on the mac seems to be ok.
