although my cabs do tend to change at any given time.

at the moment im having fun with my naomi cabs. running a dreamcast in 1 and im pimping another to play misile command type games.

still to try, raiden, raiden2, raiden fighters and raiden fighters2 i was going to try to get the complete set but i have struck a deal with them.

and i still havent tried the only cave game i have ibara.

well thats me for the moment, but i will keep trying to find super dooper games that have been forgotten about.

top tip, invest in a few less known games. there are some great shooters out there.

I love the later Raiden games. I've got Raiden Fighters, RF2 and RF Jet and they're all good. Although I think we decided some time ago on J+ that RF2 was the best of the bunch. Jodo - you remember which won?

Nice collection though JB. Shooters are my faves too but I've not got any Cave. Have you tried Nostrodamus? I believe it was written by some of the people who later became Cave.

i think bloodflowers has a dedicated sort of mame cab running stuff by 1 of the cave team. i was tempted to go for it but methinks it was jammatised and the pc removed. im still trying to suss out naomi shooters i have that are jap. dodge red or blue and chain the mothers

give me 2 buttons and some enemies any day. i have been battering border down top score so far 59 something million. although i do coin credit it and use continues. i also have an egret2 that i have first dibs on. but im not to keen on sit down cabs, saying that though i dont play my machines standing i have a few bar stools which take the weight of my old legs. cheers.

doubt it but i will try. i posted some stuff on jamma+ essentially i dont have a scooby when im using computers etc. i dont have kids thank feck, so i dont keep up with newer things like most adults. although i did think about a nice young thai bride but ffs they cost thousands. im still trying to video and post stuff for twin galaxies. any particular favourites you would like to see ??? thesharkfactor is round regular he helps me with my computer probs. i will ask him if he can help. its just a pita to post pictures it takes me forever and my desk top gets full of stuff. i know he can post videos as he has done on j+. i will be losing the afterburner in november. although it will be going to a good home where it will under go a full refurb. cheers.

starblade to the collection from what i gather it needs the monitor connected up and it should be fine. ive never played the game but the vibrating seat sounds like fun. this will be another winter project

i cant complain at the price. it cost a couple of naomi gd roms. no more biggies for me though im running out of space. cheers.

Starblade is a great game and quite rare now, I would never part with mine after spending much time refurbing it. The concave mirror with wrap-around effect makes it unique. Ol is a good fan of these beasts too.

i remember reading stuff about galaxian 3 or something running in these cabs. can anyone advise me ??? the cab got a replacement monitor from netdent. i picked it up for him a while back and brought it down for him. but apparently 4 cables are coming of the supply, 2 for the monitor and 2 for something else. because of this he hasnt connected it up. i did offer to have a look at it for him but he just wants it gone. his name is ian and i already got the police 24/7 from him. he is a member on j+ but doesnt post much. very similar to myself regarding playing games. a decent family guy who just wants to kill things

he pops over to mine regularly and we kill as many living things as possible. i got him a new net city cab it was my second best naomi. upstairs i have 2 naomis so we take a cab each 1 is vert the other hori. we usually play till 1-2 oclock then he heads home. luckily he doesnt drink or smoke so thats a bonus

the starblade needs a repair as does the police 24/7. i have looked at both and basicly they are power faults. i will post a tech thread when i get a chance. just about all my machines will be going through here. i would like to show off some of my bitches. my fave 2 cabs for artwork are smashtv, i just love the ready to roll pictures. the other being my fave astron belt the game itself i thought was naff. but the artwork is excellent.my holy grail is robotron i love this game to bits, you cannot play this game without 2 sticks. my most played cab at the moment is a naomi universal. its just sooo nice to use although i keep killing sticks. im on the look out for an empty shell, im killing a virtua fighter that has been jammatised. the virtua cab has a nanao monitor and has no screenburn. all my cabs if working get played i dont buy stuff to collect, i buy stuff to use. a few members from here and other sites meet up at mine and play. i dont have kids or really can be arsed with them. so its usually adults who use them. im pretty sure that most parents have told theyre kids dont go near that weirdo down there. they dont even show up at halloween. i now accept i shouldnt have put the razor blade in the apple, and i did say i was sorry

nice guy. so yes i will post pictures at some point. this has been a rant on behalf of the, keep video gaming alive for the over 40s foundation. thanks and cheers.

Well I have gone through just about every wire on my Starblade so I can help with getting things connected back up again. Mine was a real wiring mess when I got mine. Lovely and tidy now.

Galaxian3 ran in a Theatre using 2 projectors and a huge screen with LD, although the Starblade hardware is very similiar it is not the same.

I am toying with the idea of creating a MAME module I can plug into the Starblade so I can play games like Star Wars and other shooters on it. Eventually when Galaxian3 is finally emulated I could also play this too.

Interesting. I think Galaxian three also used laser players for the backgrounds. There used to be one at Namco Station 'twas a huge beast.

i have now lost the redemption machine, it went to john higgins from the scottish pinball league. it looks like it will be pimped into a video pinball thingy. im just waiting for a j+ member to show up then i will be removing the monitor from the virtua fighter. this cab will be for arcade heaven. the police 24/7 pcb will be getting repaired by highwayman. all being well i will be taking delivery of the starblade next weekend

im hoping its an easy fix. i will then be on the look out for an empty naomi to jammatise, using the virtua fighter bits. im now looking forward to a game of starblade ive never played it. i hope it is a good game i need to hire a van with a tail lift in order to get it home. i havent got a clue how to dispose of the vitua cab, its mostly metal. cheers.

quick up date,

just picked up, an initial d cab this only stayed for a day and as it went out the door in came starblade

at the same time as i took delivery of the id cab i also managed to get an empty naomi shell

the monitor from the virtua cab is now sitting in the naomi. in about 3 hours time i will be going to look at the starblade. it has a dodgy 5v feed and the monitor needs connected up. luckily the starblade is on wheels so i can get into the bits i need to. first im going to try and stabilize the 5v line, after that i will look at the monitor side of things. i believe i need a 3 amp glass fuse as well. it was playing blind before so thats what im aiming for today. im sad that i had to lose the id cab but i thought i had 2 coming, as i had already struck a deal i have stood by this. but what a cab it was minty. tbh i only gave him it as i have a crazy taxi. cheers.
