Hi everyone.
It's not retro so if I'm not abiding by the rules just let me know!
I started working at Las Vegas Arcade in Soho (London) 3 months ago.
One of the last Central London arcades with videogames.

I'm trying hard to create a scene, and since I started, gave been holding regular tournaments on (modern) games every Saturday. You can find a list of the current events here;

I'm also pushing for retro, and when the nearby Game Zone shuts (opposite Leicester Square's "M&Ms World") in the next couple of months, we'll get their Raiden II, Air Assault and Puzzle Bobble cabinets.
I'm a dancegame player myself, but I grew up in the arcades of the late 80's to mid 90's and also during the new generation players of the 2000's. I think it's really important to create a scene as I see so many kids in the 16-23 age range who are regular arcade goers, but there is no where else for them to play actual games. None of them like this redemption family fun stuff. It's just not gaming and it's a real shame.
I'll keep an eye out here for cabinets as a MVS, or a MAME multi cab would be amazing.
Take it easy,
Toby
