I'm recording the crt with my phone. Quality is bad because of how bright the white lines are on the screen. Had to use the wide angle zoomed in to make out the numbers. When i take a photo i can adjust the iso and i get a nice picture, but i cant do this with the video.
We noticed the score disappearing at the end of the game on Chris (cNp's) multi-board on his Asteroids. I'm using MAME on a pi2jamma board and the score remains until you start a new game.
I'm uploading a video to youtube now so i'll have a link shortly. Then you can see my technique and improve your score. 1200 is very good anyway.

Congrats on the score, that's very impressive and 4 to 5 times better than what I would do!
I hope you get the chance to try on a real cab and would be interested see if the scores differ by much and whether you need to adapt your technique.

Yes definitely want to try it out on a proper cab with lever. Next stage is to re-map the controls to buttons (left/right) (abort) (thrust inc/dec) ad it is on the cocktails. Then i'll maybe set the thrust to the up/down of my other stick. Nothing will compare to the analogue lever of a proper cab though. Never played on it before.

Added my 2170 score to Twin Galaxies but it's likely to get rejected as it was not done using WolfMAME. Never heard of it before but that's the only version of MAME they can get an .INP file so that the run can be replayed. Never mind.
Downloaded WolfMAME on Monday and have been trying to get another score I can submit.
Got 2080pts today with 10 landings.
Cant submit it yet as TG need you to have a certain number of points before I can submit again.
