They must have the original Slug sketches galore. All the original unit design sheets are just genius!

Another book of screen shots, or actual history about the game and programmers?

Not sure what the other books you are talking about, but the last effort was full of very interesting stories around the teams that developed the games and all kinds of scans that were great to see(game designs, orders, invoices, employment letter offers, concept art).

From the link in the first post:
To help achieve this goal, SNK has offered unprecedented access to its vast archives of high-resolution concept artwork and illustrations, some of which is being made publically available for the first time. The book also contains 11 exclusive and incredibly detailed interviews with key members of the development team, including Kazuma Kujo, Takushi Hiyamuta, Andoh Kenji and Takeshi Okui, the latter two of which have never spoken about the series previously. These insightful discussions bust myths and reveal the real truth behind the creation and evolution of this esteemed franchise, extensively covering the formation on Nazca and the truth behind Metal Slug Zero – the version of Metal Slug that existed, before Marco and Tarma, when you controlled only the SV-001 tank. The book also explores the roots of Metal Slug, looking at Irem titles In the Hunt and GunForce II and how these arcade cult classics influenced what was to come later.
Of course people who already have the book could tell us more

Was gifted this for Christmas, and it is easily the best videogame related art book I own (behind only Otomo's Genga overall).

Despite being mostly concept, promo and pixel art, there's a lot of interesting written content including lengthy interviews with a lot of the Devs. Considering these people were almost anonymous to the point of using pseudonyms in credits, it's great to hear them open up about the death of Irem and moving to Nazca/SNK.

I'm tempted to get Bitmap's other SNK book now.

Just got my copy of this today. Thanks for the heads up.
Amazing quality, you can tell this was made with great care and very well packaged. It’s also heavier and larger than I expected so well worth the money if you have any interest in the series.

Are there any other neo geo related books like this worth a look ?
