I have 2 Outrun gear shifters: a good one for my Outrun Upright cab and a spare which needs a new spring and tidy up.
Could I connect this to a PC using a Mini-PAC or is there a better interface?
My aim is to have a racing cab with Cannonball and MAME for other racing games.
Can Cannonball or MAME detect the current gear position or does it always assume it starts in the low position?
What about adding a blinking start button with an LED? Does that blink at 0 credits and go off when playing?
Is there a suitable drop in replacement LED button available?
What would be the power consumption of these 2 controls? Would a 5V 1A supply be sufficient for the Mini-PAC?
For the steering wheel, pedals and turbo button I'd use a Thrustmaster and it's built-in keys for Turbo.
