Totally! Since this is going to be a multi game cabinet (as opposed to MK2 dedicated) I wanted to use a more generic button layout, mainly for different fighting games (neogeo/capcom/etc). Also, I made a few modifications to the 'stock' cabinet, mainly replacing the back door mechanism with a single panel and making the bottom front (below the control panel) a door to easily access the inside PC and pieces. I skipped the coin acceptors and doors (which is why I placed a second button right next to each 'start' - to trigger a coin) and also placed 3 smaller, invisible buttons on the underside of the control panel (to send 'esc', 'tab' and 'enter' to the running emulator) and a couple of knobs for volume and bass level control.
