Been on here for a while now but not actually shown any of my stuff. Here is my MVS Collection to date. All original carts with original English labels (except ironclad and crossed swords 2 ofcourse). I’ve put them in plastic boxes and printed my own inserts as they needed adjusting to fit the boxes. I’d love the shock boxes but no room and they cost a fortune. I buy games I am desperate for or consider a good deal and have played them all. I don’t have loads of free time so having a quick blast on a game is perfect for me and modern gaming has too many controls to remember and bloody updates you have to do when you just want to play a game.

Bought many games from this forum and all have been spot on. I’m not bothered if a label is mint as long as it is original. I am always amazed how dirty the carts are but guess that’s part of their charm knowing they were worked hard for years.

Currently looking for Last Resort among others as love a shooter. I collect for ps2, SNES and have some wii and GameCube games too

Cheers

2 cabs, neo geo has a one slot and other just running Pandora dx at the mo until I get some proper boards.
Just starting out compared to many on here so wanted low maintenance easy to use machines. Changed buttons on right cab for Sanwa ones that are dead quiet and so much easier to use than those originally there.

Both cabs from eBay , I think the guy I got the neo from told me about this forum when I collected it in 2019 so may still be on here?

I want the ‘real deal’ one day but will be choosing carefully and at present no idea where it will go

Boxes are just off eBay, type in ‘cart protectors for neo geo MVS’.
They fit the carts pretty tightly but just enough to have a printed insert that I did myself.
I like them as you can just display the original label if you prefer.

Yes 3/4 size but fine for an adult and fit perfectly in space I had available

Just LCD’s afraid but with scanline generator, will do me for now as surprisingly good picture

I really appreciate that even though it’s a modern cab and an LCD screen, you’re still running a proper 1 slot.

Would be cheaper and easier to emulate, but FAR less cool.

Thanks for the comments

If I could I would have the ‘real deal’ but my 1-slot looks and play brilliantly in my eyes and I love it. It’s like the real thing (obviously not as cool) but is clean, reliable and most importantly I can have it in the house with agreement from the other half and not worrying about my kids battering the crap out of the buttons on every fighting game they play

If I move and get a massive brick built garage then my mindset might change but for now I’m happy collecting carts.

Now to find a SF2 original board to complete the experience !

Great collection Tony. Here's mine plus Metal Slug 5 MVS that I've not shown, I use an MVS converter to play on my home AES console :

Update on my games room:
- added a load more MVS carts and now run out of money and room ! Most I need now are big hitters £££ !
- made my own neo geo land sign
- bought a chase HQ, changed T moulding (copied someone on here that did it in light blue and thought it looked amazing), painted pedal and base, got sound issue sorted by the legend John Bennet, made and printed a replica bezel and a framed print above to finish it off.

What next and where I have no ideas as I’ve run out of room !C5F64D11-EDCF-4543-8381-7039243EA067.jpegD303CC63-9E33-445B-B267-EBB7595B118E.jpeg87876461-07F5-4128-B6A4-C459B1BCF2F2.jpeg

Not done an update on my MVS collection for a while so here it is. Got a few new carts and had a tidy up and printed some new covers (sorry I clearly have OCD). Some I have tweaked or made up for maximum coolness - some of my favourites attached. Need mostly difficult to find and expensive carts now but no rush and can’t justify paying massive amounts so the hunt is slow!
