N64 RGB Mod

Anyone had an RGB or HDMI mod done on a Nintendo 64 andcare they worth it? Does anyone here on the forum do them?

I've done a couple of rgb mods on ntsc consoles including my own. It's very much worth it, so much sharper than composite.

Only certain French models iirc, the hdmi mod probably works on pal models. I haven't looked into it though as I don't see the point in playing retro consoles on an lcd.

Yes pal or any n64 can now be done but the non doable ones the kit is very expensive because it uses an fpga to replicate the nus chip.

Using the simple kit only PAL FRA and ntsc with the proper chip can be done.

HDMI I also kinda find pointless and it doesn't down or upscale. It just displays a picture clearer and I think that if you want to keep retro feel even on an LCD then just go with standard mod silverfox07862016-03-23 21:26:12
