New Metroid coming to Switch

I was getting ready to type "3D rubbish", but then I saw the 2D kick in.
This could be an interesting mix of the two, and that would be pretty cool.
I loved the SNES Metroid back in the day.

Yeah, glad they've stuck with 2D (well, 2D-in-3D). Think the 3D might just be cut scenes. Didn't play Metroid until I got the GB Advance and loved it. This new one looks really good!

can’t wait for this, I’m a big 2d Metroid fan.
Just finished Samus returns on 3ds which was awesome. Some really good bosses in it.

For me, Super Metroid is the best metroid game ever made of the 2D games. Metroid Dread looks like they go back to Super Metroid with different areas that needs special suits, like lava etc. Different enemy types & music that captures that environment. I will go after work on friday and grab it directly!

Nah, I'd rather pay for a legit copy. I'm in no hurry to play it so will probably wait until the download version is on offer.

Sure you’ll love it, I’m on my 3rd play through on hard mode this time.

The games a challenge on normal mode though. Some of the bosses are terrific especially when you finally beat it.
