Hello everyone,

I'm new to the arcade scene and still trying to wrap my head around how everything works. My only experience so far is using a Brook fighting board to connect a console to my arcade stick. I've been doing some research to understand the terminology used in modern arcade setups, but I'm still feeling pretty lost.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could point me toward a good guide or resource to help me get started.

From what I've gathered, when playing on a Vewlix cabinet, there are two main connection options: JVS and Fast-IO. I think I understand that depending on the Taito Type X hardware, one or the other might be required. Can someone explain the key differences between these two connection types? Also, with the different versions of the Taito Type X system, which model would you recommend for the widest compatibility with most games?

Thanks in advance for any advice or guidance!
