Just wanted to say thank you for letting me join the group.
I recently acquired a taito cocktail.
The crt board needs recapping I believe as there are lines on the screen. It's not something I've done before, just wondered if there is anyone in the Dorset Hampshire area that still does this sort of stuff.
Also weirdly everything looks stock inside but it is running "the eyes" by rockola.

Welcome. Post a pic of the issue. If it's only retrace lines, you just need to turn down the brightness on the flyback.

Yeah I'll get a pic up tomorrow. It came up fine for a few seconds when I first turned it on then smelled a bit and the lines came up so I'm assuming a capacitor has gone

I’d echo what big10p said, try tweeking the flyback adjustment first as it might be as something as simple as that.

Hello! I'm not far away from Bournemouth (does distance make a difference any more!?😆) if I can offer any help. I suppose at the very least we can discuss it! As mentioned above, if it's retrace lines, that can be can be sorted with the screen pot on the flyback 👍
