Hi guys. I have just joined the uk vac forum in search of a pinball machine, the wife thinks I'm crackers but I've always fancied one and having recently managed to acquire a neo geo MVS cabinet and I think a pinball table would look cool alongside it. I'm after a fun family friendly coin operated tidy pinball table but I'm confused about what makes a good table. I say family friendly as we also rung a guest house and I would like to offer the table to guests to play ... Hence I need the coin system to work. Any suggestions on beginners table and places to look for one would bd greatly received many thanks

Firstly, welcome mate. Although I'm sure the guys won't mind me saying, you might be best redirected here. www.pinballinfo.com
It's not to say there's no cross over here but loads more advice and machines for sale there.

I'd say, firstly give us your budget. Depending on that, it opens/ closes many doors. Do you want dmd era, electro mechanical or solid state. I think a healthy budget to open a decent range is £1500. But the sky really is the limit. Alternatively there are great fun games available for less.

I'd say I have a budget of around 500-600 £ I'm in the north east of England an they never seem to come up for sale round here so I guess I have to factor in delivery . I'm after something with a eye catching theme but not necessarily a movie tie in or anything just a nice table that works well and accepts cash. Like I said I'm new to this and it's not only going to be myself who is using it. Thanks for your advice

Ok mate. Forget geographical location. You may be lucky and find one local but you're best off casting your net wide and sucking up £85 delivery.
Finding a machine in your budget is not impossible but if I'm brutally honest, it'll either be a dog condition wise a project or a less popular title. As I say, join up on pinballnfo and put a wanted ad up. There is a cross over here but its predominantly an arcade cab forum. Your machine is out there, just wait for it to come along. In the mean time, keep saving and as your budget grows, so does your chance of finding a cool machine.
