I have this old PSU (labelled 'AEI Semiconductors') that I'm not using, but interested to know more about it. It was attached to the metal body of an Electrohome G07 monitor, I'm pretty sure it was fed 120VAC by the cabinet isolation transformer (EDIT: thinking about it seems more likely it was fed by the 8 or 10VAC output of the transformer). It has a LM323K regulator on it, and believe it outputs 5v & 12v.
Just curious to know:
1. Does it output AC? There is one diode (not visible in the picture, to the left of the fuse) but it would need 4 diodes / bridge rectifier to output DC right?
EDIT: I found an old note of mine saying it output 4.9 VDC & 11.65 VDC. Not sure if I got that wrong but must have measured it with my multimeter on DC.
2. Is it possible this was fitted to the G07 monitor from the factory, or would it have been fitted later?
