Finally the adverts up, - lots of prep work to do, but looking forward to finally having a meet at Timewarp.

HOTEL INFORMATION: There is ONE BIG hotel within walking distance of the Arcade which has overnight parking. The Mercure Bridgwater Hotel is a skyscraper style hotel.

Some of us will be there on Friday and leaving Sunday, so this is my reconmendation.

There is other big chain hotels like Premier Inn but you will require a taxi into town and back.

Last time I went to Timewarp was 2023 maybe. The owner was chatting about expanding the upstairs area and putting in a café etc. Did that happen?
The owner is Stuart will be on here when he remembers his password lol

The cafe hasn't happened yet, however we are using more of the upstairs and it is covered in sofas, small arcades and consoles in the left side of the room, the right side is currently out-of-bounds and full of projects but we hoping to raise some funds to finish it off with the help of the UKVAC and public. Timewarp has grown slowly year-to-year and we hoping by November the place will have lot of projects finished and ready.

I am excited to help and get it ready.

Hi Arcadians!
I’m proud to be announcing this years UKVAC meet at the Timewarp arcade in Somerset on the 15th November 2025
Doors will be open at Midday till late and £15 per ticket gets you free play on all machines, consoles and includes buffet pizza and chips at 8pm.
There is a local premier inn 8mins away but I’ve been recommended the “Mercure Hotel Bridgewater” which is 3mins walk away for those like me who want to stay over. There is free parking at the venue after 6pm and you can bring your own beer after 8pm.
Please send payment to the Timewarp arcade via PayPal at stoo@digital-addiction.co.uk so we can get an idea of numbers.

Let’s make this one to remember and look forward to seeing you all there.

TRAVELLING BY RAIL - BWT

Bridgwater is the 40 mins stop after Bristol Temple Meads on the mainline from London, Birmingham, Exeter or Cardiff, however not all stops are at Bridgwater so look at Taunton as the closer busier station, I just checked fares and seem fairly reasonable at the moment, you might be able to get a Return for £120.

From London there is a train that leaves at 9:34 Paddington and arrives at Taunton, with a switch you are at Bridgwater for 12:28. Most trains seem value for money but most trains leave just after 9pm on the return leg.

The Night Rivera service seems to be good going home to London but useless getting to Taunton, a regular train seems to take about 2 hours.

The Return leg, there is a sleep-over train, this arrives at Taunton at 1:40am and arrives at Paddington at 05:04, fares can be under £40. Getting from Bridgwater could be a taxi, bus or last train is just after 10pm £7 for 10mins..

From Birmingham New Street, there appears also to be reasonably good value, from tomorrow tickets are available to purchase at discounted rates.I did find a Off peak Return for £80-90, but bad news you would have to leave at 7pm.

The hotel Mercurie will pass if you walk to Timewarp, another option is to get to Taunton and book a hotel sleep and then get on a cheap train to Bridgwater.

More info to follow, we just want to drum up support and bookings.

Thanks for organising and setting this up, Alex. I imagine it took a lot of work behind the scenes to get it all arranged. Cheers

Hey folks, I'm the Head Repair Technician at Timewarp Arcade and have been running TW for years with Stuart the owner (I tend to be a ninja and work in the shadows).

We are really looking forward to everyone visiting. Thank you @DaveR for sharing some directions and travel details above.

Here is a link to our website that has a fair bit of information on how to get to us: Timewarp Arcade - Find Us.

Also here is a link to our Google Profile.

I live locally in Bridgwater (about 5 minute walk from TW) so if anyone needs any help on the day or in advance please feel free to reach out to me on Discord @luka4233 or Facebook Messenger @lukauk.

I will be around on the day and will have to pop back to check on kids with the grandparent every now and then.
