Nice, looks toasty, only asked because I researched log burners for their efficiencies and was gobsmacked. They kick out soooo much heat but still 90% goes up the chimney, amazing fact. Turns out that the most efficient design is by the Amish people who have the flu internally zig zagging about the room before it gets to the chimney, basically using it as a huge radiator heating seats, walls etc. Mind you they do have very cold winters and we'd probably cook ourselves lol. You wanna stick some TEGs on that and charge up your electricals, mind you might be too hot for them.

I met a couple who brought there log burner with them from Brazil and it was just like that !
It was amazing it kicked out so much heat ! All in cast Iron .. like a series of metal boxes with the chimneys connecting each box graduating in size all way to the Celling …. Once you’ve seen . You cannot un see..

I would open chimney to have it installed if I ever see one /. Theirs look like something from the 1900’s.

I would say brothers open fire looses
90 percent up it !

Log burner no idea but will be more affective as it controls the draw of air ..
I can slow down the burn with mine thankfully ..

Residual heat is stored and continues to radiate from the metal and fire cement container lining .

I have a friend in Spain also has a great little log burner really impressed with it but I didn’t get the Name of it .

But a lot of glass on it fire was really visable .. watched the logs burn really slowly when I was there it was a great little burner !

Yes, sometimes the old knowledge reaches a maximum, seen it adapted to make cooking surfaces, ovens etc. I know that if you can get it to a certain temperature it is possible to make your own bio fuel(YouTube, Robert Murrey Smith) which could run an old diesel engine for generator purposes. Couple that with Malcom Bendalls new technology that removes all C02 emissions from any engine exhaust(which is being kept hush) then who actually needs the national grid and the ridiculous charges. This new plasmoid technology is really exciting to say the least but I will use the term ' new ' loosely as it would seem that it may well have been suppressed a century ago. Sad really but not the first time and won't be the last.

Yes watching the oil company’s lobby in usa against climate change is all you need to do to see the crooks at work pedaling this dirty fuel that they keep wanting to sell because it’s easy
