[ukvac] OT: An ADSL router
Can anyone help with this please?

Specifically, I need a 4 port ADSL router for my sister. It needs to be blisfully easy to set up and offer seamless internet access, (by that I mean no proxy settings have to be added to each application they just work as they would if the pc were connected directly to the ADSL modem).

Does not need to be wireless, needs to be cheap, effective and available.

Any suggestions?

cheers,

Paul

Westell's are great. Thoroughly recommended. I think the model that
would suit your needs is a 6100, but you'd have to check that.

They guy and http://www.broadbandstore.co.uk has always been extremly
helpful to me.

(Just press "click here to track order process" to take you through to
their existing website while they prat about with their new one).

Martin.

This looks like a nice product and it features a USB port.

I think I'll go for this one and use a hub.

Thanks for your help with this, I'd looked on ebay and I didn't know where
to start.

Regards,

Paul

Hang on, missed the requirement for a 4 port solution. Don't think the
6100 has that, maybe give them a ring. If you do, ask for Greg and
tell them "Martin from Honiton recommended you ring and ask his
advice")
