[ukvac] OT(ish) - Tech: Test monitor voltages
Hi all,
My turn for a favour!!
I picked up a small monitor on Sunday that i want for a test rig. I'm
struggling to exactly ID it, but it looks like some kind of Microvitec -
perhaps an Amiga monitor.
Does anyone know what voltage it will be expecting?? Ie, do all monitors
take 130v AC on the chassis, or does it want 240v on the chassis, or am i
going to blow myself sky high?
I got a hantarex switched/isolated power supply in with the monitor so i was
just going to connect it to the monitor feed on that. On that subject, that
has two pins for 130v, and two for degaussing. I assume i use the two 130v
pins, any importance on polarity (the monitor is marked L N E, but the power
supply just has two unmarked pins!), and do i just ignore the two degaussing
pins??
Questions, questions! - thanks for any help,
Guddler.
