[ukvac] OT: London Bombing!

Just a quick note to let people know to avoid going to London today.
-as I'm sure some of you have heard.
There's been terrorist bombings(around 9) and the Tube system is
completed shut down.

The BBC website is already flooded and I've only got up a basic html
version of it. However Sky is up and running:-
http://www.sky.com/skynews/home

I hope that everyone in the UKVAC(and their families and friends) are
all ok(sincerely).

I got caught in the travel chaos on my way into work, so I can cofirm
London is a no no at the moment. Nearly had a heart attack when I
heard Aldgate East had been hit cos my other half was on her way
there. Luckily she was late and got turned back.

I guess 7/7 will be our 9/11

Thanks for that info David - i didn't have a clue anything was going on.

Indeed i sincerely hope everyone is okay - there are a lot of people
on this list that live in and around London.

BTW - BBC not working here. Must be ISPs i guess.

The TV works perfectly though.

You are f..king joking aren't you? there are a handful dead, and some major
travel disruption that will last a few days. How the bloody hell can you
compare that to the atrocity in NY???. If they had flown a plane into Canary
Wharf then I'd understand. Remember the Harrods bombing? Soho a couple of years
ago?, Bishopsgate? All terror attacks, all evil, but along with this mornings
blasts, all comparatively insignificant compared to the loss of life on "Sept
11th".

Its already bad enough that we have this offtopic bullshit on the
list. Even worse that people have died and it will bring about more
legislation and help bring in more anti-terror laws. Well done

ISPs for certain - I am in Canada now and have several
friends in central London and every email I sent to
them (different ISPs) have come back as "no suck
recipient".
