[ukvac] OT:Lynx's
Hi

Someone emailed me about having games to trade, but I deleted it before
replying (DOH...)

Anyway I'm after the following games for the Lynx:

Asteroids & Missile Command, Baseball Heroes, Battlewheels, Battlezone
2000, Bubble Trouble, Desert Strike, Double Dragon, European Soccer
Challenge, Krazy Ace Minature Golf, Lemmings, Lynx Casino, NFL Football,
Ninja Gaiden III:, Rampage, Robotron:2084, Scrapyard Dog, Super Off-Road,
T-Tris, World Class Soccer, Xenophobe,

I have some trades, (this might be slightly out of date) or tell me the
sort of price you want. (Putting it in contect games rarely cost more than
$15 on ebay, some do, but wierdly some of the ones the americans find hard
to get I have dupes of..

Bill & Ted's, Chip's Challenge, Fidelity Ultimate Chess Challenge,
Gates of Zendocon, Gauntlet: The Third Encounter, Hydra, Jimmy Connors
Tennis , Joust, Malibu Bikini, Pit-Fighter, Robo-Squash, Super Skweek,
Xybots, Todd In Slime World, Ishido: The Way of, Klax, Rampart,
California Games, Shanghai, ,

If you have any Lynx games you want to get rid of can you pass them my
way, esp double dragon, I want to get as many versions of this as poss
and have them next to an original DD machine (just to show how terrible
the home version were !)

Or any games that are arcade copies.

Cheers

I'm not usually much of a grumbler, but this group is supposed to be about
arcade related discussions. I'm sure there are plenty of people on the list
who really aren't interested in 15 e-mails debating the merits of using and
stocking the Neogeo pocket. Can I suggest that someone sets up a "hand held"
consoled egroup discussion forum?

Regards

John

Here Here, I also thought this was an arcade forum, perhaps with a bit of
other chat but it is dragging on a bit now, we'll be discussing the merits
of ''driver'' for the PSX soon ! ;)

Ooops, theres me just trying to help people save a bit of cash. Surly
PNG is arcade related, after all all the classic neo games are on it ?

And on the same note, it seems that the majority of postings here are
for sale postings, if your going to be picky why not have a seperate
"FOR SALE" group ?

and a sepaerate "MARS BAR" group, how far do you want to go ?

Thank god its poets day

Perhaps we could have a separate group for this discussion ;-)

My 10p's worth....

Yeah this is an arcade mail group, but surly the idea is just to keep
like minded individuals incontact with each other. I don't mind
whatsoever if my mailbox is sometimes filled with mail offering me the
chance get something a little bit cheaper - and respect should go out to
the peeps who offer us the chance, as long as it is not spam!

Anyways - I might well buy one myself anyways!

Perhaps its up to the moderator to decide what goes and what doesn't!!

Matt

P.S. How many mars bars would you swap one for (I have a good supply of
the mars bar darks!!!).

;)

Is there such a thing as a "classic neo game" ???

If you had to shortlist 10 "classic" games (not just ones you like)
which would they be?

Hows about the following in no special order.

Pong
Tempest
Asteroids
Donkey Kong
Defender
Scramble
Dragons Lair
Kung fu Master
Out Run
Space Invaders

First of all sorry if this post offends !. Would anyone be interested in a
Lynx Egroup ?, Sounds like there would be much game trading to be done and
it would keep this group clear of unwanted posts. I have already started
one group and am not sure if I can create another, It is really easy to do
though and doesn't take much of your time.
Andrew, I would be interested to hear your final price on the PNG. Saw one
this weekend in my local trendy game shop and will now definately buy one.

Cliff.

Ok..... these are of course all rose tinted classics ;)

Bubble Bobble
Rainbow Islands
Galaga
Outrun
Rally X
Asterioids
Qix
R Type
Gradius
Space Invaders

I'd question Dragon's Lair being on the list :p Neat graphics and innovation
but terrible gameplay.

John

BTW the Pang, MoonWalker, Hammerin Harry PCB, and Neogeo boards are still up
for sale or trade.

Anyones list of classics is going to be relational to there age, when I
was waisting all my cash in arcades it was on Outrun, R-Type,
Salamander, DD etc so these would be on my list. But I have customers
who consider NeoGeo games such as KOF, PuzzleBobble etc as classics as
thats what they used to play.

At the time I was playing Salamander, I would have laughed at
SpaceInvaders so its a bit niave to write off more modern games just
because you dont like em.

On the PNG front SNK will only deal direct with chain stores :(
everyone else has to go via there distributor.

I would say that PuzzleBobble, Pulstar and Metal Slug are all classics,
just look at the cost of them ! they still take good money after all
this time.
