[ukvac] OT: Sharp MZ-80K Query
Hi All,
Does anyone on the list have a Sharp MZ-80K Personal Computer?
I powered up mine last night and an internal fuse blew. Against my
better judgement, I fitted a bigger fuse to see if the one fitted was
the wrong size. Well, you never know.
With the lid of the PSU removed, I watched 2 capacitors glow and
explode, and start a small fire. It was quite exciting! :-D
So now, I've decide to do it properly. I've got the technical info
for the SG3524N PWN IC and I'm tracing the PSU to create a circuit
diagram, so I can properly fault find it.
All I need now is the values of the two caps that I've fried - mine
look like mini dead fireworks now.
If anyone has an MZ-80K, and wouldn't mind taking a peek into the PSU
for me, please let me know and I'll send you a diagram of the
components I need the values of.
Fingers crossed!
