[ukvac] OT: Threads
There was a discussion about the film "threads" some time ago.

Well a few days ago, "the day after" was posted and now "Threads" is slowly
appearing on the newsgroup alt.binaries.vcd.svcd

I know some people were interested in this so I thought it might be useful.

Cheers
Stu

Re: [ukvac] OT: Threads
And i _STILL_ wish people would at least TRY and respect the fact that
some of us like to use thread enabled email clients...

For instance - FS: Eprom Programmer -> mame to arcade monitor

Where the hell's the thread in that? Or did i miss something somewhere
)

Gudd.
PS: I know it's asking the impossible, so don't take the piss this time
round - which is what started the bit about the film "Threads" last time
- i ain't in the mood (see my final post 4 today)

Are you used to newsgroups, as this aint the same.
That was no thread, just the next post.
Click on sort by subject.
And I don't think I am taking the piss. That aint my job.
:)

Ant

RE: [ukvac] OT: Threads
Okay, since I'm still sat here, one more!

Not really used to newsgroups - haven't subbed to a PROPER one since
sometime back in 1994...

> That was no thread, just the next post.
Ahh, indeed BUT all messages are threaded by subject, so by replying to
the previous post and changing the subject (i SUSPECT - don't know
obviously) that causes email client's with the option to "View folder by
thread" to link the two together. If your email client doesn't have this
option, you should try a decent one as it really is quite useful
SOMETIMES ) (clearly a pain in the arse at others!)

Quite often if i don't expand the thread then i won't even see the
wrongly threaded mail. Normally this doesn't bother me in the slightest,
but clearly if it was the FS post of the century I'd be pretty pee'd off
)

Umm, NO, i like them sorted by thread thanks!

> And I don't think I am taking the piss. That aint my job.
I know, so don't take it personally. Yours was purely picked on as it
was fresh in my mind. As i also previously stated i don't really expect
any bugger to take any notice of me, i'm just not in a good mood so i
fancy a good old public rant to let off some steam :)

RE: [ukvac] OT: Threads
Ok, you is right. To start a new line, I replied to the latest message,
its quicker than using the address book, deleted all contents and sent
new, as I thought. If you have a problem with this, my dads bigger than
yours. You want some, come on, COME ON. Not the face, please nooooo, not
the face

Miffed,
Ant
