[uk-vac] OT: uk-vac flames
Someone got out of bed the wrong side and sent a Friday flame a bit too late...

Hmm yeah, that'd be good - people could stop asking questions about actually playing arcade games or finding other uses for their arcade cabinets because that would be irrelevant to the group. Then the old techies who've been on the net so long they can remember when usenet the king (and never hesitate to tell everyone they remember that) won't have to whinge that too few people are asking technical questions (like which end of a multimeter is which, or how to hook a centipede board up backwards to play edepitnec) to give them the chance to be the fount of all knowledge...
Hey, let's do a Google groups search for some of the old techies. 10 years! Is that all? But before that, a true l33t - running a BBS! Lost one of the Bs recently?
Sorry to burst the bubble, but I suspect that many people like a bit of off-topic stuff. I thought this list was about building a community, not just an endless stream of dry technical questions, or requests for parts? Maybe I'm wrong but if so then judging by your own stats so are 40% of the posters. I think that rumours of the death of the list may have been greatly exaggerated...
No more offence intended than received,
Ross
