I recently switched storage locations in order to give myself the space to get at everything (instead of just staring at the backs of tightly packed-in cabs). I was supposed to be tidying up and testing but mostly played Zoo Keeper and Black Widow.

Top tip when importing: Insist (as in absolutely, 100%, make or break) that your cab is placed on top of a blanket and the bottom is wrapped first, before the top and sides are tackled. With the best will in the world, cabs get chewed up at the bottom. Unless you really don't care, which might reasonably apply to unrestored beaters. A few blankets is just not enough.

Gorgeous Black Widow and, cor, a very nice looking Mad Planets! You've some great cabs, dude.

Cheers Chris! It's been set up to be switchable from the original boards to the Gottlieb multi FPGA:

It also used to be a Q*Bert (still has the knocker), so not from the original MP run.

The Black Widow is here:

Yeah, they look very nice in the vids. If you have cabs like these in storage, makes me wonder what the heck you have in your games room?!?!

Not a huge amount of room at home, but at the moment...

(Restored Star Wars is running a clean Amp and ESB kit, Robotron is an all original "NOS" Gastown Warehouse cab, Stargate is switchable between original boards and JROK).

A nice collection of some gorgeous looking cabs! The Defender is an absolute beauty!

It's really nice, but - to be completely honest - I want to find an original survivor in awesome condition and swap the innards of this one in. This one has been fully 'restored' but is just too clean and glossy and not at all what it would have looked like from factory. More some guy's personal interpretation.

Ah, another mad planets.

Edit: Todd Tuckey isn't very good at playing it judging by that video link

Has that linear psu that seems to be lurking in the video been rebuilt? They are (relative to the Atari linears) a bit ropey and need some 'help' and the biggest heatsink you can fit on the Zener diode for the (aprx) 30v line used by the original fitment sound amp.

99% sure it's been rebuilt... but now you've asked, I'm going to double check this week :)

Oh man that Aliens cab! I just picked up the PCB for that last week, never even seen its original cabinet before.

Nice collection! I can't even imagine having the room for all that stuff! I can barely find room for the 2 I have.

Turns out there was never a dedicated, just a kit, but this Konami conversion (by an op, back in the day) was the same cab (not this actual cab, but the same Konami design) as played by John Connor in the arcade scene in T2, so that's about as dedicated as it gets I guess.

Edit, not JC, his mate. Obviously.

Awesome collection, many cool games!
I would love to get my hands on a Zoo keeper in the future.

But on that screenshot from Terminator 2, John Connor is playing Missile Command...Looks like Alien is standing next to it.

And if I remember correct he is playing After Burner cockpit apart from MC...

Edit: just realised you wrote his mate,

Yeah I think they make him play missile command as a bit of foreshadowing for the whole 'judgement day' thing. Great film. His obnoxious buddy has good taste in games though.

And yeah there's a big AfterBurner cockpit in there in this scene too, he's in it as the T1000 enters the Arcade dressed as a cop I believe.

Less foreshadowing, more directly on the nose, but yup. I like it that Cameron stuck Aliens in there as an easter egg for fans too :)
