Not sure if anyone here is interested in Pico-8, but made an arcade-style game for it last year:

There are also quite a few arcade game remakes, or games inspired by arcade games made by others...
I find the games run smoother in the 'app' (which isn't free), but you can play them for free in browser. I personally use it on a Raspberry Pi and 9" CRT monitor.
