Hi guys, what type of paint do you use to touchup old skool pins. My BK needs a bit of touchup in the black areas, would like to try and match something close to the original that will blend in. Anyone got any experience?
The only way to get a perfect match would be to take the cab to a paint shop and have them scope it to give you not only a perfect colour match but also the perfect sheen i.e the amount of gloss/matt/satin etc
It's a hassle but it will give you close to perfection
If a little scratch I would go with a small artists paintbrush, if a large area I've found sponge rollers to be good, nice and even and no stroke lines like a brush would give.
lol speed read ya post, yeah, decide what type of finish it is first, I tend to go with silk though as it dries like matt but has a little shine like gloss, but none of the drippy/podgy finish and decade drying times.

I've used a matt black blackboard paint from Wilko (Wilkinsons) on the back box of my STTNG pinball and I can't tell the difference between what I've put on and what was there originally. I don't know what the finish is on your pin but this stuff is practically an identical match for me.
