Printing side art

I need to get some art for a Super Neo 29 printed (colour-corrected Adobe
Illustrator file). I was in discussions with Archer on the subject, but
have not heard from him since he moved last year.
The original artwork is printed on thin paper, laminated with a very thin
layer of clear plastic.

Can you recommend anyone I can use to get this printed?
Anyone heard from Arch since the move?

Thanks,
Simon

Is it definate that Archer HAS in fact nmoved? Because he took 2 of my mates cabs a long time ago, promising to do a renovation, making one good cab from the 2, and then, I assume, moved away and my mate didnt hear from him so I guess his cabs are now in "storage" which is pretty shitty all told. Especially as they were both very desirable cabs and my friend has been looking for this game for a very long time.

I tried to find out Archers were abouts but aside from seeing him every 5 minutes in Retro gamer, no-one seems to know whats going on. Not good.

Are you saying you want it printing exactly as per original - i.e. on
paper and then laminated?

Or you just want a nice reporduction of the image directly on vinyl?

If the latter, since you already have the artwork, then in principle. any
decent signmaker should be able to do a full colour print on vinyl at the
sizes you need. I'd have a chat to Signs Express, which is a franchise,
so there should be one near you. They have done a fantastic job on my
vehicle livery, for which I presented print-ready artwork in Illustrator
format. Very reasonably priced too!

Which of course has absolutely no legal standing and just makes
(presumably) your employer look a tit ;-)

No. He might have been just going on holiday. He said he was going abroad
& I should get back in touch in a month or so.
I've never met him, but he seems to be a good stand-up bloke, just very
busy, which is to be expected given his job.
I am sure your mate could get in touch with him via Arch's company, if he
needed to...
Arch was going to be printing the art for me as pretty much a favour
(excellent quality, original materials, for a very reasonable price), so I
don't want to pester him.

> sizes you need. I'd have a chat to Signs Express, which is a franchise,

Cheers, I will look them up. Nice vinyl would be better than the torn mess
on the side of my cab at the moment.

In this particular case, I think it was a dumb bit of legislation that got
passed (last year?) requiring a whole load of crap to get appended to
every email from a business. A lot of other companies seem to manage to be
a whole lot more succinct though.

I‘m the mate referred to in the Shaun’s post. I thought I’d reply to hopefully end any confusion over the “lost” machines. Yes Arch does have a couple of my Star Wars cabs and is in the process of renovating them.

I keep in touch with Arch, there is no dispute and he hasn’t run off with anything! Shaun like many of us had heard Archer may be off to the US but I was aware of this and get progress updates from Archer.

I know he’s had a mad year so far, a busy family life with running 2 companies and also having sold up his last house months back. He is living in rented accommodation so all of his arcade stuff is in storage.

As far as I know he hasn’t been able to do any artwork production runs for at least 6 months. I guess he can’t unpack and crank up all the machinery just to print one piece for himself or anyone else. Whilst there is a delay because of this I’m happy to wait to get the best results Archer is known for.

Hope this clears up any misunderstandings.
