Quite happy to pay more for something better, it's just that there doesn't seem to be anything better :-(

Hopefully a used one from a Jamma cab will be better quality - I expect that it will be

What I would do is to remove the +5VDC, +12VDC, -5VDC and GND wires and replace with high quality alternatives.

you might as well just make your own, invest in some quality roles of wire and away you go

or part out Golden Tee/Silver Strike machines, there so many good parts on them, they should all be stripped and killed, awful machines (size wise) and game

Just an update on this. I bought a used Jamma harness from Mo @ Videotronics. Quality of the cable is much better than the one I bought on ebay, so I spent the day re-wiring my supergun.

The only issue I had was this was taken directly from a Jamma cab, so there was lots of wiring I need to untangle, and remove as it was not needed

But definately a good option if you need a Jamma loom.

Power wire was pretty decent aswell, so didn't feel the need to change it

My Jammaboards one arrived and to be honest it's quite middle of the road; it's taken weeks to get here and the quality is neither as good as I can recall, not is it as bad as the cheap-ass loom with the black edge connector and gold writing you see out there. I think there has been a change of supplier or my memory just isn't right on this particular item.

The search continues...

Haha you are not wrong - should have! We were pretty beat by then though, if we found some NIB Atari games I would have said "pfft" and got in my car

We missed a trick, we should have pulled the JAMMA looms out of those BAS cabs.

The time limits were short, otherwise I think we should have taken all the monitors, looms, power/isolation bricks etc. out of all the unwanted items, but I guess you've got to be realistic about storing all this stuff aswell. I wish I'd taken a decent Laser disk player or two now

Shame for it to be binned

The DL2 laserdisc player was lost in that lot! Oh well

Based on what the staff were saying, I suspect the Laser disk players will still be there for a while, so might be possible to still get it?

Hope it's ok to bump this thread, but I've got a similar question.
I bought a harness last year (sorry, forgot where, but it was over £20)) and the problem is the connector - it's a bit sh!te. You just don't get a good enough contact on the boards, so you end up wiggling it to get a game to boot (I swap board a lot). Screw tabs also interfere with some PCBs. The 30 year old plug I used to have was infinitely better, but not sure where I put it...

Anyone know a source of high-quality edge connectors?
