Has anyone got a rpi5 and playing HDR movies off a hard drive to an OLED TV etc.

I cant seem to work out how to enable HDR.

If I play movines off a hardrive connected to TV I get the HDR logo flash to say its HDR. When I use Kodi its not flashing the logo. Originally the Kodi setting Display was set to 1920X1080P I have changed this to 3840X2160P is there anything else I should be changing to enable HDR and upscale 1080P etc. Any help would be appreaciated.

In the settings > System, there are options for enabling HDR, in KODI. For me, it only works with HDR and not Dolby Vision movies (they will look purple/green)

Are you sure you're not downloading the DV version releases, as they look that colour on most things other than the boxes they are made for.

That's down to the licence.

Take a look online at the Ugoos AM6b+, and then take a look at CoreELEC. Smooshing both together makes one of the most capable players for any amount of money in the world!
