Wondering if anyone has any info on the computer specs that were in the doodle jump arcade machine made by raw thrills? I am looking to rebuild a machine to match the specs so that the restore disc will run on it.

Thanks for any info :)

Also appears to need a dongle to boot.

Might a copy of the program somewhere with the checks removed and without the controls fixed that might work with the original hardware.

Did it not come with one?

Looks like it could just be a generic HP machine according to this site, pictures not good enough to see the model/specs though.

That *looks* like a HP EliteDesk 705 G2 in the MicroTower chassis.
There were a couple of that era in similar chassis (280 G2 etc) - but the 705 G2's board matches the rear I/O of your pictured on exactly
I would suspect a SFF chassis would have the same board, so you might get away with one of those which are readly available for under £100, the MTs seem a bit rarer.

That picture online is a red herring i think. It doesnt match the pics form the dj manual.

I found more info and have the spec for the machine now. Its a different machine spec to what raw thrills use for the regular driving games etc. I guess they didn't need as much horsepower. the machine is a desktop type slim case one.

You can see the back of the computer in this pic from the manual. This helped me work out the type of graphics card in use. Its not using the onboard video from the motherboard still. Weird way to mount the computer in the case with straps. I was expecting a more industrial type case for the computer like with namco n2 systems etc

Parts to build the computer should be arriving shortly.

My next hurdle is what to do about a missing dongle :( machine arrives tomorrow so ill be searching high and low in the cab in case its still there somewhere but if not what to do??? Any thoughts... Do we think its impossible to recreate one of these usb HASP things, or is it just storing a serial key in there that is read at boot ? The actual usb keys themselves dont seem too hard to buy. But if there is no chance at working out what it wants on there then i guess i have to find one from a spare machine.

MAME support is started but i am not sure at this point if it runs or what they do about the dongle issue
