Yes Atari ST formats disks to msdos compatible format. Only difference is
that ST's could go up to 900k+ for DD disks and 1800k+ for HD disks, which
could cause incompatability problems with PC's. Magazines however tended to
use standard size formating as I did use the tripple format disks on both my
ST and 386
