Right so no where near an arcade collector status as I don't have the room or the money to be up there with the rest, but a lot of work and time has been put into this little collection from building stuff to working out things like getting the Patrol lights interfaced with mame in my Dedi-mame'd Chase HQ cab.

Out of my massive collection of 8 cabs 6 of them are emulation based which isn't all bad as i'm able to play different types of games on a handful of cabs such as Driving games on a driving cab, motorbike games and others that use handlebars on a cab with... well.... handlebars
smiley2.gif
, and joystick/trackball games on my main mame cab... so here we go.... loads of pics of a handful of machines, some pictures before I started work on them and some when they were finished running various games....

In order of getting them we start with my Electrocoin Xenon cab which I Mame'd in 2001, just an empty cab when I got it no monitor etc. It's had 2 different systems installed over the last 9 years and currently has a 2ghz P4 running XP with a 26" Sony Trinitron TV.

After that I got a 19" Silverline Jamma Cab that now belongs to Mini

Then I got an old empty Cruisin' USA upright that was in a bit of a state when I got it but I can't find any pictures of it from then so here's a few recent ones.

It runs PC games like Crazy Taxi, Italian Job, Outrun 2006 etc. as Well as Mame and Model2 emulator games.

2.6GHZ P4 , 26" TV tube (mounted in a an old Hanty frame) and a Microsoft Dual-Strike hack and keyboard hack for the control interface.

All games run great and are fun to play.

Then I got an Old Radikal Bikers cab that also had seen better days!!, some wood working was needed on the front and the hanty monitor had a small scratch on it

. The monitor was replaced with a 28" TV tube into the old Hanty Frame and I've got a 3ghz P4 in there wired to a gameport hack and keyboard hack for the controls, after repairing the great big hole in the plastic moulding on the handlebars I also added two buttons for changing gears etc and delivering papers in paperboy!!.

It runs mame, model2 emulator and once again PC games

Right so next I got a Time Crisis SD machine that did work (with faults) but also looked like crap!, I had the monitor fixed and swapped the pink recoil sfx gun it had for a green one plus fixed the fault I had with the gun interface not working, fiberglassed the holes and cracks in the CP then sprayed it, also Tidied up the rest of the cab and now it's 100% better

My son plays on this game EVERYDAY!!!.

Obviousley the Light box was too big (Plus it was smashed) so I made a smaller version and then used the "NAMCO" bit from it for where the Instruction sticker would have been.

I built my son a mini-mame cab out of MDF for easter a few years back and it's had LOADS of use.

mini_mame.jpg

I also Built my own Little cocktail cab that runs XP (hidden) with the monitor mounted vertically and windows set in vertical mode with the Nvidia settings, this just runs vertical games and boots into Mame32 fullscreen with no taskbar etc. etc....

I got given an Electrocoin Spectrum cab that needed a monitor and bottom door plus a bit of a tidy up and is currently running "Final Fight"

ooh look there's my old Silverline Jamma cab
smiley19.gif
.... which had to go to make room for ChaseHQ
smiley4.gif
.

So I got an Empty ChaseHQ cab from Mini that would have cost me quite a bit for repair, new monitor new board etc so I decided to do a dedicated mame cab and restoration. Some of you may of read my great big project on this on Jamma+ or retrogamer as there was quite a bit went into it from restoring the cab to building my own system and gameport/keyboard hacks for the controls but it hardly cost me anything to do it except a few quid and a lot of my time.

It boots straight ito the game and has working patrol lights as it should a 19" TV tube (mounted as the monitor should be) and a working coin mech and credit board.

It's my favourate project i've done so far and I wouldn't ever revert it back to how it should be... i'd get another working cab first
