Good friend of mine suffers from depression and this lock down is starting to wear him down a bit.

Am looking to pick up a briefcase unit to cheer him up, he had one before ( i know he loved that machine) but life has been pretty sh*tty to him over the years

Is there anyone on here or know of anyone who would RGB mod on the PC engine Briefcase Interface Unit IFU-3.

I've done a few and it's not difficult to do if you can solder and have an amp.

As above the IFU-30 is a bag of sh*te - single speed cdrom, with a self destructing middle gear.

Better off gettin a duo or duo-r if you want to play cd games or a core II if hu-card games only.

The pce mini would cost about the same...

Mister set up is about £200, that gives a lot of consoles, computers and arcades with hdmi and rgb output... No brainer for me

Any links to this Mister? never heard of it.** nevermind just found it**

Yeah, seems to be a lot of hassle to get the briefcase up and running

I would charge £50 and I'm super duper disreputable
£140 is a rinse

You can do cheaper but that is everything hassle free

I had a RGB nodded ifu and CDROM that I bought faulty in the hope of getting it working , I failed to get it going even with a new gear.

I ended up soft modding a wii and using a RGB scart cable on my 15khz CRT TV for PCE CD games @ 240p and it looks perfect to me.

Imo I'd rather have that set up than a PCE CD as they are too much hassle.

I've got a wii soft modded here, your right the CD rom is just too flaky. I don't want to give my friend something from my collection as a cast off.

It was just an idea I had to help my pal out, but it's looking more impratical to pull it off.
