Bought the Robocop from Alpha 1's PCB sale. The board was displaying frozen garbage. This was a bit of a cheat because I had a spare PCB. The Rom board was basically shot on my spare PCB. Chips missing etc and it has been stored with that board facing up so was heavily caked in dust. Swapped Alphas ROM PCB and paired it with my main PCB. Game was running but the sync was out.

Traced the sync line back to a 74LS367 and notice some corrosion on the traces. Traces in the vicinity also with corrosion but checking out on continuity, luckily. No continuity between the two pins to the 74367 though. Those pins were heavily corroded, so after much swearing managed to patch a line between the two and the sync issue cleared.

Nice 1, Alpha 1 - Robo is resurrected. Nice easy cheat of a fix - wish they were all like this.

I now have a faulty main PCB and maybe a faulty ROM PCB - it's untested. You are welcome to try my ROM board - it's partially populated and here it is. You may take it for the price of the postage - it's untested so it's worth a try.

I have a faulty robocop and I 'think' its the main pcb that's the bugger. As the rom daughter board looks fine and does seem to check out. Cheers though and again nice work

Ben, happy to donate the boards to you, Ron and main. I'm aiming at the top board being RAM on this one. Didn't trouble shoot it because of my spare. The Rom board is untested. No use to me now, please take them.
