Sega racers addict in France

Hello there !

I join your forum after a while being member of french forum because there is nothing to do, UK is the craddle of Sega Racers soul in Europe
I own 4 twins :

• a daytona sitdown (wood) that seem to have been operated in belgium, but did not boot for like many years (between 10 and 20 ?) the previous owner told me he bought it OOO, stored it for years without touching it, then I bought it.) I cleaned it (air only) it is pretty complete visually in the base. Just miss one spring of one accel pedal, and the seats are a bit loose otherwise looks good. Tried to boot the stack with an ATX PSU without success (I see corrosion in some areas), tried to plug the cab in, there are short circuits somewhere (looks like there is a blown chip on the SJ25-0216-02 2/3 PCB that I know nothing about. let's call it a Project
• a Scud race sitdown (plastic) with only one hitachi CRT (the other is swapped to LCD with the dirtiest tape bezel fit I have ever seen) runs properly with ATX PSU replacement, except for the FFB as the servo and drive board were removed by someone. Got some from Mo Patel that I need to plug in, but I think I miss some harnesses... works in link mode without FFB, semi-project
• an Outrun 2 ordered in Williams Entertainment (bad experience, the cab was told to be refurbished, but it came in with some suprise, one wheel drive is mecanically not centered, miss a seat lever, the LCD screens backlight is crap, ...) and it runs when the cab with the wheeldrive passes the FFB init (one run every 3.) I payed this one a lot, should have wait since we can pick up O2 for around 1500 euros these days...
• a Sega Rally 2 complete with rollbar and seatbelts. my favorite ! runs perfectly (just needed a PSU swap for ATX one)

I also have a New Astro City for fun and because I have no more room for more cabs, although the list of racers I want is getting longer everyday, including Virtual on / flighsim panel type twins since I saw some of thems on FB

Welcome, you must have lots of space. I like racers too and typically play them above all other games. There’s a lot of racers to choose from. If I could I would have (along with what you have):

Bonjour and welcome to the Vac! Nice set of cabs there but you have your work cut out for you in repairs there! I am also addicted to racers and filled my storage with too many of them 🤣.

oh and Williams again, not surprising unfortunately. Hope you can make it good!
