Was just reading that which is awesome and it must of been pretty cool to play it, I've seen the pictures on System 16 before and just seen this photo again and noticed they used side plastics on the Turbo Outrun Deluxe

Never heard of this, very impressive!

In the second clip (with players/cockpit view) it's obvious how much steering is required to get the car running straight after a turn, which doesn't seem like a relaxing excercise.
Maybe because of a sluggish/laggy steering-response time, or that the front wheels not return to their neutral position after steering?
