Sega Tip-Top no sound... but the sound works...

Helly guys,
Here I spent a good hour troubleshooting an Sega Tip Top sound board because the game did not have any sounds. It is even worse when everything looks good and there is sound in the test menu.
It turns out the DIP 7 on SW1 is to turn the sound ON or OFF.... Why do this? Tell me I'm not the only one with such stupid things.

Dip switches nearly always catch me out. I never think to check them. The amount of times I've had a board with graphic problems but I can't work out why it is not playing blind, then realise the test mode is enabled, but the screen is too bad to notice.

I love the sound on Tip Top. Complicated though, it is a good job you didn't have to do any major troubleshooting.
