Something new from SEGA

Just came across this:

"We might not have to wait long to see if Satomi's words ring true; he also told Famitsu that, while he couldn't guarantee it would happen, the company is planning to announce a new project for home consoles at the Tokyo Game Show in September."

Surely this doesn't mean Sega are going to attempt to re-enter the home console market, does it?

I'd guess a new IP, but would love to see a new console.

I would guess by the wording it'll be a new IP for existing home consoles, rather than entering the console market themselves

Yes. A new IP would make more sense than bringing out a new console, I guess.
