Will this ever happen again? The South so needs more shows

I was listening to the Retro Gaming Round Up podcast and our own Turnarcades had something interesting to say about some events in the south this / next year. Get the latest episode (97).

I shall track it down, sounds interesting.

Whilst I enjoy arcade meet ups, I don't really get to talk properly to folks, I'd almost fancy have a beer up somewhere, forcing people round a table and get to know them without any arcades to run off to. The Slam was good in that it had a bar area to linger and chat....and drink.

Slam was my favourite event of the year its a shame its not happening any more.

I really enjoyed doing the Slam in 2014 and bringing 40 games from up north that you southerners never come to play on lol (just joking, I know a lot of you travel).

I would happily help another South Coast Slam - can people just not walk off with the keys to machines that need crediting every 9 plays

Yes indeed guys, there's plans in the mix for a REVIVAL event to be rocking up down south, most likely this coming Winter. It's early days yet but we've always seen a lot of support from the southern crowd and with the summer event returning to the Midlands, we've decided to shift focus and add to the calendar for a southern and a northern event at either end of the year. More news will come soon but if you continue to support the main event, there's plenty of scope for us to do a lot more down south with many of our crew coming from down that way.

For sure, I'd be there in a heartbeat, particularly if was near Brighton!

Many years ago We used to have ukvac london/brighton meets which were basically pub crawls. Good times.
