This is more maintenance than a repair, the original edge connector was split so the sound board would flap around all over the place. It would also only boot if it was tilted at a certain angle.
I bought these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3pcs-72-Pins-3-96mm-Pitch-GoldFinger-Card-Edge-Connector-with-PCB-Pin/263044111657?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
I am sure there are better quality ones than these out there but it's not like the sound board gets unplugged and plugged back in all that often.
The main thing is the make sure once the old connector is removed that the holes are very clean as it's a tight fit. I also recommend putting something plastic over the top as you push down so the pins don't all pop out the top of the connector housing (I used the old edge connector).
Finally once it's on pull each pin from the bottom making sure every one is all the way through then solder in place.
Here's a before and after.
Notice where I tried to glue it back together to avoid replacing it.
