Taito 7600

Any of you geeks out there know what a Taito 7600 key opens, and don't bother with the 7600 lock reply either

Got one with a rather strange alloy 'key' attached, looks like it has a similar purpose to a meter cupboard key but arcade related ?

I'd reckon one of the Speed Race series of games would use that? In theory any Taito game produced in 1976.

I bought one to open an SI cocktail that had been converted to bombjack once.

So the 76 is the date code then, that works SI 7800, SI Pt2 7900, hmmmm

It is a lot smaller than the 78 & 79

yup, the start of the key number gives it away, its a year code.

I've not seen a 7600 key, i have 7800, 7900, 8000...

I'm assuming 7600 could be for a T.T Block cocktail if your table had these locks.

Does it have the Taito logo on the other side?

Is the thing attached to it just to stop you walking off with it, or losing it/dropping it?

In fact, is what you have there actually a key for the toilets in a service station somewhere? *shudder*

It does have the Taito logo yes

The 'thing' is the confusing bit, It's a 'key' of some kind bit like a meter cupboard key, did any of the cocktails have this kind of opening as these keys came from an arcade

Then again it may be the toilet key

i've never seen the 7600 key before, or a cabinet that uses it. The thing attched to it is also not a part of a taito cocktail that i have seen, but see caveat above, an early '76 table might need it for something?

If 76 is year, look at Taito machines from 76 video if any or EM stuff, Old Shooters
