Oops! Picked this up on saturday. I won it off Ebay. The guy had it powered up, and the monitor worked but there was garbage on screen. We put it in my friends estate car, but it would only go half way in due to the increased width when it got to the control panel. So, we had to drive back 8 miles to Lichfield with it sticking out of the back of his car. There are some nasty speed bumps just as you get close to my flat, and i gritted my teeth as we slowly went over each one! When we got it in my living room, i powered it up and discovered that the monitor was now dead. I would love to get this working again, but have no technical abilities at all really. The Marquee, backdrop and coin slot lights come on, but that's it.

Lots of info on line about these but I have have just had to send my midway boards away for repair as I was running round in circles! now I'm battling with the screen as it went hay wire too, certainly high maintenance but worth spending whatever it takes to get it going, as long as you bought it at at reasonable price

Usual checks for something that has been thrown around would be:

Is everything firmly plugged in to everything else? No loose cables flying around?
If you have powered it up, is there any glow from the monitor neck?
Have you checked the board for any obvious damage to chips.
If it is two boards in an L shape - are they connected firmly

After that, multimeter time sir!

No glow, but i've just noticed there is a fuse missing here by the monitor, and it looks like the fuse holder is broken too.

Is the fuse in the bottom of the machine? Or trapped somewhere after being on its side?

Hi Tim.

Good to see some pictures after your little adventure. I won't repeat what I said I on our earlier chat and the guys on here know far more than I anyway.

Hopefully you can get playing relatively painlessly and I don't need to sell you mine now.

They're not pink, they're purple! Cheers Neil, i hope it's an easy fix too. Alpha1, no, i can't see the fuse anywhere.

Above the holder missing the fuse it says 1.5 A. Will these fuses off ebay do, or do they have to be slow blow, quick blow or something else? Please excuse my ignorance!

Hi Tim.

I know that on my Zacc the fuses are all different amps. Not sure on the exact type though sorry.

Yes, it's lovely. It's a bootleg Phoenix. Completely original, never had any problems with it.
