[ukvac] Tech: Board Repairs (1942)
Hi,
Is there a web site with general tips for repairing boards? The sort of tips
like if the sound doesn't work check the capacitors around the amp.
Anyway, I have just got hold of a dead 1942 that apparently worked
recently. When I power it up I get the top half of the screen filled with
neat rows of explosion characters (as opposed to random characters).
Flicking the dip switch to test mode makes no difference either - I
thought this may have changed the path of code execution. Any ideas?
Regards,
Ivan
