[ukvac] Tech: Gryzor and sound amp possibly WTD
Evening all,
Following recent conversations with the ever-helpful P-man (Andy Welburn),
he has suggested that my sound amp may have decided to give up the ghost, as
since my earlier sound distortion problems on the Gyrzor board have now
developed into no sound after me twiddling with the volume pots in an effort
to clean the connections (I was trying the easiest things first).
I have removed the heatsink and have located what Andy informs me is the
sound amp. It's a silver-topped chip with no number on it whatsoever.
However, next to it on the board is the number LA4445 which I am assuming is
the ID of the chip.
If this is the chip I need, does anyone on the list have a working one they
are willing to sell me? I'd dearly like to get my Gryzor back up and
running.
Any offers, advice etc, greatfully appreciated.
Kind regards,
