Hi all,

Hopefully one of you fine folks will be able to set me on the right track
with this problem.

I have a Hantarex Polo in an electrocoin (neo geo) cab.
I'd like to be able to swap jamma boards in and out, but I get a screwy
picture with some boards but not others.
eg:

NeoGeo MVS: fine
jap STV: fine
Konami gx: screwy

I've been unable to get a stable pic on the cab by tweaking the sync
adjustment pots.
All work fine when hooked up through my supergun to a tv

I did a bit of research on the web, and the symptoms shown on this page of
Bob Robert's tech notes

appear to match my problem.

Is a similar adjustment possible on the Polo?
Or is there something else I'm missing?

The polo here at work will only play half my jamma boards .... will not
sync on half of them no matter what i do ... but is fine on others! annoying
... and its only 2 years old so shouldnt need a capping or anything

maybe polos are just crap ?

Polo's are crap. thats my view.

Whats peoples fav monitors?? I'd say Nanao monitors are the best picture
wise, quality wise, never had problem with sync, pretty much auto syncs from
50 to 60hz and also the modern ones from '92 are dual freq..

WG are okay, nothing special, but from experiences the most easiest monitors
to fix, re-cap.

Strange - my Polo is just fine and it's got several more years on it than
yours. It had some issues initially with sharpness and clarity but these went
away after a few weeks ownership (had been stored in a warehouse). I've got
about 50 boards actually in the house now and they all sync on it without
adjustment!

WG7200's are my fav

They have the least components on them so less to go wrong. Very simplistic
easy to get to board design especially for its age! I find them 100times
more reliable then anything hantrex.

Nanao I would agree have a nice sharp picture,

errrr .. whatelse ..... oh ... sega re-branded ones are crap, zillions of
components, normally labled in japaneese, sometimes TV's converted by adding
an extra board ( more bloody components)

the worst of all electrome eeeergh! nightmare to fix, ask 80's man, we've
swapped every single component on his 14" G0 something or other and it
still doesnt work!
