[ukvac] tech : Horizontal Hold
I have fitted a wells gartner 13" monitor to the pacman (since the original
was necked) but the horizontal hold is very dodgy. You have to adjust it to
lock a picture every time you reboot the thing. it locks best with the
picture about 3" from the left of the screen.
I notice it has intputs for composite for both +ve and -ve pulses.
what are arcade boards normally ?
The monitor came out of a quiz machine and was wired for +ve sync, should I
be using the negative though ?
or failing that, what else should I be looking at adjusting / replacing to
improve the sync ?
p.s. Vertical seems rock steady - but then it has twice as many controls to
play with.
